The year is 2000 and the WWF is running away with the Monday Night Wars as WCW gasps for air in the dust. Looking for anything to draw in viewers and gain headlines in an effort to catch up, WCW was presented a chance to do so, a chance that wrestling fans wish never happened. In April of 2000, Ready To Rumble was released in theaters and featured several WCW wrestlers such as Goldberg, DDP, and Sting. Star of the movie David Arquette, an avid wrestling fan, was included in the promotion of the film, appearing on WCW programming, but little did he know the role he was about to play.
Twitch.tv's Aurorn (@SamPr0n) and Elliface (@elliface) join the podcast to watch David Arquette win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and defend it at Slamboree 2000 in a Triple Cage Match, ripped straight from the climax of Ready To Rumble. We also talk about videogame movies, MMORPGs, engineering failures, mullets, and derby horse names.
