The year is 2005 and WWE is the only game in town as the independents are still in their toddler phase. This leaves WWE to self-create and think outside of the box, which is something that has worked for WWE before. Outside the box thinking is what gave them Wrestlemania and the success it brought. Its the kind of thinking that gave WWE gimmicks like Mankind, Kane, and most famously, The Undertaker. Gimmicks like those that require a certain talent to believe in themselves in a certain way to pull off those kinds of gimmicks to achieve the sort of success they achieved. WWE believed they had another one of those gimmicks, using the old tall tale and childhood nightmare known as The Boogeyman and they believed they had the certain talent who certainly believed in themselves to pull it off, and to a point, they did.
CPFs Jham (@SpiralingHam) and PDR (@@pdr5978) join the podcast to watch the introduction and the debut match of The Boogeyman in 2005 and then watch The Boogeyman take on Booker T and Booker's wife Sharmell at Wrestlemania 22. We also discuss Aaron Donald's potential as a sleep paralysis demon, halloween costumes, childhood fears, and get into the nitty gritty of the $1,000,000 Tough Enough, from the tryouts to the infamous Daniel Puder incident
