Scott Woody Woodruff, the man behind the JEGS brand and race team, is our guest this week on the DragChamp Show podcast. Woody, a childhood friend of Jeggie, has been a major part of the JEGS team for decades. He's so close to the family they call him Uncle Woody.
In our conversation we learn about the work he puts in to keep the JEGS name in front of racers, fans, and enthusiasts. He talks about some of the tricks he used to get media exposure, why all the cars are yellow and black, and where the JEGS colors originated.
We talk about the massive growth the company has seen along with tons of great behind-the-scenes stories. Woody shares his favorite car in the shop, he favorite Coughlin brother, and Coughlin grandkid, among other things. We get into electric juniors, partying in an RV, driving turbocharged Vette's, and what sits at the bottom of the pond in front of the shop.
Woody is such a professional and was an awesome interview. This one will keep you entertained from start to finish.
