This past week on March 16th, South Carolina Republican-controlled House Judiciary Committee tabled the Save Women’s Sports Act. This prevented it from moving forward through the legislative process and becoming a law. This act was intended to protect the arena of women-only sports for girls in South Carolina schools.

We decided to record this episode as an urgent response, to help inform you about what is going on right now in our State House. And if you don’t live in South Carolina, we urge to be on the lookout for mirroring legislation in your state, and of course, to make your voice heard.

We were able to secure an interview with Representative Ashley Trantham, and Meagan sits down with her to learn about the specifics of the bill, what prevented it from going through, and how we can do better in the future.
