When you start a business, you may experience growth at first, but eventually, you reach a point where you cannot grow any further. Justi refers to this as "going from zero to one and getting stuck there." This applies to startups and established businesses, with the only difference being the revenue level at which they plateau.
For Justi, marketing is simple - focus on basics, spend a lot of time on (a term we all take for granted) The Ideal Buyer, and then match the buyer to what makes your solution better and different.
Justi's message to founders or established business owners is straightforward: there are no shortcuts to launching and growing a business. Copying or stealing someone else's unicorn solutions that promise unbelievable growth is an excuse for not doing the hard work required to build a successful business.
