Richard has been involved in staffing and Human Resources for most of the last 30 years. He's worked for some of the UK's largest employers in both public and private sector and including manufacturing, software, healthcare and transportation. He also specialises in helping small employers navigate the increasingly complex challenge of managing staff in a highly politicised and increasingly divided society.

He is a Co Founder of Fair Job UK which was launched in April 2024, an Employer Accreditation service and HR Support service aimed at employers with less than 1000 workers down to 1 or 2 employees. Fair Job UK encourages employers to remove politics and activism from the workplace, adopt neutral political positions and to avoid signing up to ideologically motivated campaign groups. The accreditation reassures employees that they won't be cancelled or indoctrinated at work but at the same time, requires them to conduct themselves professionally in the workplace and to leave the politics and activism at home.

Richard is a writer and contributes regularly to The Daily Sceptic on workplace and HR issues and you can follow his substack here:
