Richard Allen and his legal team had another trip to court on Friday and like usual, we are only getting a litlte bit of information, as the transparency levels have dropped to about zero. The hearing was held for roughly 45 minutes, before coming to an abrupt end. According to reports, Brad Rozzi, the attorney for Richard Allen, was seen in the hallway speaking with Richard Allen's wife who appeared to be crying. The trial is still scheduled for October.

The latest updates on Kouri Richins, who is accused of fatally poisoning her husband, Eric Richins, reveal that her preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 26-28, 2024. During this hearing, Judge Richard Mrazik will decide if there is sufficient evidence for Kouri Richins to stand trial for murder and other related charges. She is facing multiple felonies, including aggravated murder, attempted criminal homicide, and drug distribution, among others.
Recent court proceedings involved a motion to disqualify the Summit County prosecutors, which was dismissed by Judge Mrazik. The defense had argued that the prosecution team had violated attorney-client privilege by allegedly listening to jail calls between Richins and her former lawyer. However, the judge found no credible evidence to support this claim and allowed the prosecutors to remain on the case
Richins has been held without bail since her arrest in May 2023 and continues to maintain her innocence. The prosecution alleges she poisoned her husband with a fentanyl-laced drink and had a financial motive for the alleged crime.
