The recording of this week's episode took place on May 31st, 2023, shortly after the Tampa Bay Rays wrapped a series against the Chicago Cubs, the favorite baseball teams of the Gents respectively (1:30). EstoBro gives a tailored report about the Rays struggling to their 40th league-leading victory over the 'door mat' of the National League in Wrigley Field; is the Tampa baseball team finally falling back to reality? After weather reports and recaps of the Memorial Day weekend, the Gents break down the late arrival of Pokémon Home (15:00) to disgruntled fans of the franchise who have been waiting quite a long time for this. Unfazed by this news, the latest installments of classic fighting game titles Mortal Kombat 1 and Street Fighter 6 (21:30) are brought to the attention of the Gents. Both put up their rounds discussing which of the two franchises has been dominating in video games as of late with major speculation on what to expect in terms of these new games; the latter releasing this week. After EstoBro reveals that he did actually go to Tampa's Sunset Music Festival after being disappointed, he sheds light on the classic rock music festival happening in August called PowerTrip (33:35), which makes TV and him start wanting to reconsider their tickets to Bonnaroo to see greats like Ozzy Osbourne and AC/DC that could be their very last concerts. TV went to the movies over the holiday but did not see Bert Kreischer's The Machine (40:10) which fell at the box office to Disney's live adaptation of The Little Mermaid. TV cannot hold himself back to help celebrate his Miami Heat returning to the NBA Finals (52:15), which finally has EstoBro on board ever since he purchased his Shaquille O'Neal Miami Heat jersey. Does Himmy Buckets have what it takes to continue his underdog story and beat the heavily favored Denver Nuggets? We will find out all over social media...except the Gents are truly leaning toward joining this massive exodus off of Facebook (67:55), where it truly has become a place that does not feel like a "cool social place" to truly be anymore. Find out more if the Gents keep the Facebook group alive for the podcast, right here on the EstoBro TV Podcast!
