This week on The Expert Guide to Parenthood Podcast we discuss childhood anxiety.

Unfortunately, anxiety is something that impacts many little people and it can be mild, moderate or really debilitating. It can be triggered by everyday things or by specific events and as parents it can be a maze to navigate the best way to support your child through their anxious thoughts.

We are joined by our Child Psychologist Expert Dr Deirdre Brandner, and we discuss:

- What is anxiety?
- How can it manifest / what can be signs of anxiety?
- How can we help our little ones when they are feeling anxious?
- How can we learn and understand more about what is making our children feel anxious?

There are some common occasions that children may feel anxious, Dr Deirdre provides strategies for how as parents we can assist:

- Drop off at childcare
- Pick up at childcare
- Night times / bedtimes
- New activities
- Changes to routine
- Is anxiety something that is passed down?
- When do we know we need to get additional support with anxiety?
The Expert Guide To Parenthood Podcast is proudly supported by Mustela natural origin skincare, by parents' side since 1950.
