God Will Make A Way | Life of Moses | Week 3 | Ryan Iverson | July 16 2023 Big Idea: As we walk through the life of Moses we see how God makes a way where there is now way. Throughout his life and the journey towards the promised land God was going to make a way for His purposes to be fulfilled but Moses had to trust him and give him all the glory. Today’s Sermon Big Idea: God’s purposes requires the right way, the right time and the right person. All of these must come together in order for God to fulfill His purposes in your life. Often we are impatient or get ahead of God and try to make what we believe to be His purposes happen in our lives. When we do this we are circumventing God’s purposes for our lives. Know this – There is a right way, and a right time – and He wants you to become the right person in order to accomplish His purposes in your life. 04:13 Recap from Weeks 1 and 2 04:49 God is doing something, working behind the scenes. 05:03 God is teaching us that this life is about HIM, not YOU. 05:55 God has a purpose for your life… that comes with a surrender from you. 07:15 We often get ahead of God. 08:30 Moses mother and father laid a root system for Moses that established who is people are, who Yahweh is, who Abraham and Isaac and Jacob are. 09:36 The first 5-6 years of your Childs life are important. 11:00 Then when Moses was around 6, we was adopted by Pharaohs daughter and he spent 34 years in the courts of Pharaoh. 12:35 Hebrews 11:24-26 13:18 God was stirring something in Moses and changing his heart. 17:20 Exodus 2:11-12 19:50 Moses took matters into his own hands. 20:45 No eye has seen… no ear has heard… 21:35 Don’t think so small! 22:22 Sometimes if our reality, instead of God’s reality. 22:45 Exodus 2:13-14 23:00 Maybe he was hoping that HIS PEOPLE would recognize that this terrible person is gone…that he saved the day! That he fulfilled his purpose! 23:20 Moses was trying to make room for his gifting on this own. 23:43 God will open doors of opportunity if He’s in it. 26:50 Moses made a poor choice… 26:45 That’s not how God works. 30:33 Moses thinks he messed up his life… 31:19 Moses was a shepherd of a God… 40 years of being taught and trained to be everything God needed him to be. 32:07 There is a right way. 32:22 We often feel like our way or our approach is the RIGHT … and God is in it…but often our approach or our way is not necessarily the right way. 32:36 Imagination serves me… faith serves God. 32:53 The right way to step into God’s calling of life is … 33:06 Matthew 20:26-28 33:30 God has you in the place he has you, to teach you to serve, to lay down your life for others, to learn God’s way to do things and not YOUR way to do things.
