How did a meme about "Surrendered Liberties and The False Sense Of Security" turn into a podcast episode about America's slippery slope into Totalitarianism and Fascism? (And are we really turning into a fascist state? Really? Depends on who you ask, we guess.) How did The United States of America become a nation of people who became more obsessed with the "illusion of security" and are more than willing to give up some of their freedoms and demand others do the same, rather than preserve freedom and personal responsibility? While Jason Cousineau and Eric Renderking Fisk (hey, THAT'S ME!) believe that "science is real," masks, immunizations, and vaccines are necessary, COVID-19 is dangerous and needs to be taken seriously, and civil rights and following just laws are important in civil society... we're still labeled by some as the bad guys? Can we have a debate about what Ben Franklin meant when he said "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety," or have we devolved too far thanks to partisan politics?
