This is a BIG episode! A full length double interview with two incredible female veterans. I chat with both the editor in chief and publisher of AVOW Magazine, a publication made by female veterans for female veterans. Much like this podcast. I am so pleased to be featured in the Winter 2020/2021 issue. I speak with Christina and Sheila about each of their active duty stories. I learn about the blatant and open sexual harassment Christina endured as well as how Sheila's difficult transition back to civilian life led her to joining motorcycle clubs. She also shares her experiences as one of very few young women in the American Legion. We go in depth about military programming and the need to deprogram as we transition back to military life. This one goes deep on so many topics! This is a very real, candid conversation between 3 veteran sisters.
