In Rod We Trust!
After going global last week with all things IFA, it's time to shift local and deep dive into the VFL, so we've brought in VFA Board Member and temporarily (?) former captain of the Fisting Wombats - 'The Inanimate Carbon' Rod Matthews!
Due to the highly suspicious absence of usual host Chris 'Super Mario' Milne, we have brought back FiFA President Rolf 'The Godfister' Petersen to once again helm the co-hosting duties with Malcolm 'Mister Fister' Donnellon, effectively converting the podcast into an all-Geelong affair.
And boy oh boy, if you like nonsensical tangents, then this is the episode for you!
The boys talk about the VFL 2020-21 season so far and the future of the league, even taking time to gratuitously name drop the former-Eredivisie Dutch football player who now suits up for powerhouse VFL club Fist Club. The hosts then grill Rod on his life, his fistball career so far, his future aspirations, and why he keeps rupturing things and tearing other things off the bone. He then answers a surprisingly large number of listener questions... a significant portion of which seem to come from Australian celebrities, and most of which are weirdly personal.
