THIS week we turned our attention to player management and performance (from a sports science perspective) in the modern game and how important conditioning and wellbeing are to overall player development.
Talking us through this important area of player management was Ex Stoke City, Welsh FA, Seattle Sounders sports science guru, and the current Director of Performance at Anderlecht in the Belgium top flite, DAMIAN RODEN, who is working alongside ex-Man City and Belgium captain, Vincent Kompany.
It was a great insight into how coaches prepare players for game days and training and what is really behind the science of performance in today's professional environment.
