Welcome to episode nine of the Footy Almanac Podcast.

In this week’s Elbow-less Pod, journalist Cheryl Critchley joins raconteur and bon vivant Tony Wilson alongside Matty Q and Harmsy on the Footy Almanac couch.

“Tinsel” Wilson waxes lyrical about his days at the Hawthorn Footy Club, what it’s like to be drafted to the club you’ve barracked for as a kid, his love of the World Game and everything in between, including the esteem with which the playing group regarded his academic prowess.

Passionate Tiger fan Cheryl Critchley talks about growing up in the mighty Ovens and King region of northern Victoria, her years of devotion to the Tigers and the trauma (!) of having one of the flock turn their back on the yellow sash to declare allegiance to the Suns of the Beach. Cheryl also gives us an insight into the work of the AFL Fans Association and their response to issues like variable pricing.
