What to do when God doesn’t give you what you want…

*We learn to trust God in the trials (think of Hannah who couldn’t have children)

• Hannah chooses to trust God she’s crying out to God and asks God to “look upon her sorrow”
• She decided that she would trust God no matter what.
• 1 Samuel 1 “ the lord remembers her plea and she gave birth to a son”
• Samuel means “heard by God”
• Remembering her trial & God heard her prayer.
• How do you wait well?
• We may not always understand, but we can see his faithfulness throughout our lives.

*Reminder: we will always experience disappointment…this earth and everything in it was never meant to satisfy.

Luke 22:42 “…not my will, but yours be done.”

• There is purpose in your pain…
• He knows what we are feeling, and we can trust Him to carry the burdens of our souls.

A lot of the time we are disappointed because we are putting our hope in the wrong places.

• People
• Jobs
• Relationships
• Children
• Money
• Status
