He came to play football at LSU from Marshall, TX in the late 1940's and became the owner of his own car dealership. Managing to retire at the ripe old age of 49 he has now been retired longer that he worked and says he maybe should have worked a little longer. I had not seen him for at least 20 plus years but finally managed to visit him while he was in Baton Rouge. Uncle Bubba, my Dad's best friend for years beginning when they played together at LSU, turned 92 on Cinco de Mayo and I can only hope that if I live that long I in as good shape as he is both mentally and physically. For me it was an honor to have him on the Freeman Report.
