There was a time that I would hear “retreat” and think about a super bougie experience: An escape to The Spa, time spent at a cabin in the woods without any wifi, or a silent meditation experience with a woman who smells like patchouli but calls herself Sage. What I didn’t think about was a wounded animal who was retreating to flee a threat; escaping to a quiet place so that it could lick its wounds and heal. In this episode, I'll introduce you to something I like to call the 4 Rs -- a framework that helps me to set better boundaries and practice Self-care.
