Old School vs New School.

It’s a debate you hear often amongst hip-hop heads. The truth is, the culture needs them both. The blend of traditional wisdom with youthful tenacity and ingenuity have been driving forces in the culture since its inception in the late ’70s.

That’s why for this weeks episode we brought together Ghettosocks and LDN

Ghettosocks is a veteran with over 20 years in the industry. Over the course of his career ‘Socks has toured across North America, Europe, and Asia. Ghettosocks adept lyricism and slick laid back cadence have earned him a Juno nod, numerous awards, and the respect and admiration of both his peers and fans alike.

Fast Forward….

Some of LDN’s crew aren’t even drinking age yet. Regardless, they have been turning heads and making waves in the Canadian hip-hop scene. With 12 members, they’re pretty hard to miss. Being that we only had 4 mic’s, LDN was represented by Kye Clayton & Luke Berryman. As a collective LDN has been flooding the streets. Their sound can range anywhere from smooth melodic vibes, to guttural trap, to introspective and thoughtful. As a team, LDN sees no limits to what they can Accomplish creatively, and they shouldn’t.
