Following up on the four months of violence in the Gaza Strip, the world has seen increased disaster for Palestinians in Gaza and around the world. Famine, illness, and increased mortality rates have persisted since the initial ground invasion in October, with concerns that the situation will continue to worsen. There have been multiple developments including accusations brought to international courts, progress towards hostage negotiations, increased media coverage from Palestinians in Gaza, and protests around the world. That brings us to the questions of how we got here, and where we may be heading next?
