A three day protest has broken out over the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen and sikh separatist from the northern Indian state of Punjab. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had announced that there is reasonable belief that there is a link between this murder and the Indian capital of New Delhi, as tensions have been high in India with sikhs advocating for a separate homeland. This brings us to the questions of how we got here, and where we may be heading next.
