****——PUMP IT UP——**** MOTIVATION IN TRIALS Sermon. 15.2.24 ****——PUMP IT UP——**** MOTIVATION IN TRIALS Sermon. 17.2.2024 PUMP IT UP I guess you could say with everything that’s happening it’s a case of pumping up your motivation and faith in Christ, but also remember that this is already been solved. YOU GOT THIS My daughter gave me a hairbrush and it has on it. You have got this. I actually use this hairbrush regularly now as my main hairbrush and it really helps me. Remind myself that I’ve got this. I strongly recommend having things that remind you that you’ve got this as well. A BIT ABOUT ME Well what I have learned is that I can do anything if I believe in Christ including climb on roofs and clean them, remove old soggy moss and generally I can do anything I have found if I really just believe that I can. When I look back over our history in the 1800s. They had really big aerials and I believe that 5G must’ve existed and these were the 5G towers of Babylon that the Lord tells us to pull down. I think that everything is connected through aerials and Internet and Bluetooth and electricity and water and gas as well. I spoke with some friends online and one of the talkshows and one of the friends was telling me that they’re having problems with the aerial and the telephone line and everything else. In fact, my iCloud decided that I have an eSIM which I do not have. So you name it it’s all happening. It’s all about your data and your information and I don’t know if it’s just me that is noticing it but I am noticing it. What did remind me of his win there’s a body count. This always has a bad sign in the Bible. This is when they are ready to enslave you and they want to count up how many people they are they want to control your mind by programming through the teller lie vision and all the other ways of getting through to you. In fact this week and met a friend of mine with a son who used to go to school and now doesn’t go to school as he has withdrawn him from the school and apparently you’re allowed to do that now. Apparently this child will be home educated. Very interesting indeed and I wonder how many people are doing this. GENERAL CATCH UP The price of everything has gone up. My friend was telling me that her electricity bill is gone from a hundred and twenty pounds / a hundred and eighty pounds to five hundred to six hundred pounds per month . actually it’s dollars because she’s in the states . And this is in Alabama because Alabama power had done this and apparently there was a big news article about it. I don’t know if this is happening where you live but it’s interesting to find this out isn’t it. It definitely wants you to create your own electricity. And this goes back to the 1800s, when we had our own electricity which was free and we were creating our own little flying machines and bicycles that were powered Buy free electricity and also boats as well and people had laptops and allsorts of things and they must’ve done a reset because this must’ve pissed them off that they had no control and they wanted to make money because electricity is an electrickery. HAVE NO FEAR It is my personal belief that if you start to fear, then the enemy takes hold because you have shown that you are weak in the Lord and in your faith and trust in God. This is what I learnt over the last year. Now the thing is, we’ve got to show who our master is in our actions, and this is through word we are everything we are through Christ and trusting in God and following his word by reading the gospel, which is go spell as in filling ourselves with the bread of life as in be read. When you’ve read the Bible, then you will have nourished yourself with the full gourmet dinner of understanding more about the Lord. But as I have already said before the more I read the Bible them, I realise I don’t know anything at all. I don’t think anyone will know the Lord or understand his Bible fully even if they dedicated their whole lives to it. I can only tell you what I experience. 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. FEAR IS A LIAR Fear is a powerful emotion that can grip our hearts, paralyzing us from living a life of purpose and fulfillment. It whispers lies into our minds, convincing us that we are not capable, not worthy, and destined for failure. However, in the midst of our darkest moments, we can find solace and strength in the timeless wisdom of the Bible which serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us that fear is nothing more than a deceitful illusion. It reassures us that we are not alone in our struggles and that we have a higher power who is always by our side, ready to guide us through the storm. By embracing this powerful truth, we can break free from the chains of fear and step into a life of courage, faith, and resilience. 1. 2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”Reflection: This verse reminds us that fear does not come from God. Instead, He empowers us with love, strength, and a clear mind to overcome any fears that may try to hinder us. 2. Psalm 56:3 – “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”Reflection: Trusting in God during times of fear allows us to find comfort and peace. By placing our faith in Him, we can overcome our fears and find strength in His presence. 3. Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”Reflection: This verse assures us that God is always with us, ready to provide strength and support. We need not fear because He promises to uphold us and guide us through any challenges we face. 4. 1 John 4:18 – “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”Reflection: Fear and love cannot coexist. When we fully embrace God’s perfect love, fear loses its power over us. Trusting in His love enables us to overcome fear and experience true freedom. 5. Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”Reflection: God commands us to be strong and courageous, assuring us of His constant presence. We need not fear or be discouraged because He promises to be with us, providing guidance and support in every step we take. 6. Matthew 10:31 – “So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”Reflection: Our worth to God is immeasurable. Knowing this, we can find confidence and courage in His love. We need not fear, for He values us greatly and will always take care of us. 7. Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”Reflection: Placing our trust in God and surrendering our own understanding allows Him to guide us. When we submit to His will, He will lead us on the right path, removing any fear or uncertainty. 8. Psalm 23:4 – “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”Reflection: In the midst of difficult times, we can find solace in God’s presence. His guidance and protection bring comfort, dispelling any fear that may arise. We can walk confidently, knowing He is with us. 9. Romans 8:15 – “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’”Reflection: Through the Holy Spirit, we are no longer bound by fear. We have been adopted as children of God, allowing us to approach Him with intimacy and trust. Fear has no place in our lives as His beloved children. 10. Philippians 4:6-7 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”Reflection: Instead of succumbing to anxiety, we are encouraged to bring our concerns to God through prayer. By doing so, we invite His peace to guard our hearts and minds, surpassing human comprehension. In His presence, fear dissipates. In conclusion, fear is a liar, as the Bible verse reminds us. It deceives us into believing that we are powerless and alone, but the truth is that we have a loving and faithful God who is always by our side. By embracing this truth, we can overcome our fears and live a life filled with courage, hope, and joy. In our modern times, fear seems to be ever-present, constantly bombarding us with worries and anxieties. However, we must remember that fear is not our master. We have the power to choose faith over fear, to trust in God’s promises, and to find strength in His presence. When faced with challenges or uncertainties, let us turn to the Word of God for guidance and encouragement. Meditate on verses that remind us of God’s faithfulness and His ability to conquer our fears. By immersing ourselves in His truth, we can find peace in the midst of chaos and hope in the face of adversity. Moreover, let us not allow fear to dictate our actions or hinder us from pursuing our dreams. Instead, let us step out in faith, knowing that God is with us every step of the way. As we confront our fears head-on, we will discover that they hold no power over us when we trust in the One who is greater than any fear. I pray you may be encouraged to face your fears with unwavering faith, knowing that fear is a liar. Embrace the truth of God’s love and promises, and let it guide you through the challenges of modern life. With God by your side, you can conquer any fear and live a life of purpose, courage, and victory. WHO IS MY ENEMY? Enemies of God “Your enemy is anybody who resists you, who contradicts you, who crosses you, who antagonizes you.” The enemy in this context is those who resist God, who disobey his laws, who ignore him. So if you translate that down into our situation, your enemy is anybody who resists you, who contradicts you, who crosses you, who antagonizes you, who makes life hard for you. Which means that the command “love your enemy” has an application to rebellious children, ill-tempered and insensitive and non-listening husbands, neighbors who complain about your dandelions. You may not call them enemies, and they don’t call themselves enemies, but that’s the kind of illustration we’ve got here. Most people don’t think of themselves as enemies of God, and yet God uses them as illustrations of how he graces people who are not whole toward him. —-Romans 1-18 illustrates haters of God. God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity - So good, really good hate the most is our sinful nature. So we’ve always got to come back to the Lord. 18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. CAREFUL ABOUT JUDGING PEOPLE IN YOUR TRIALS God’s Righteous Judgment 2 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2 Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? 4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? 5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”[a] 7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. 8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. 9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; 10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 11 For God does not show favoritism. 12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) 16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares. WE ARE TO LOVE OUR ENEMIES Luke 6:27-36 Love for Enemies 27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you. 32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. WHAT CAN MY ENEMIES DO? Nothing. They can try but nothing can harm you. No weapon formed against you can prosper. It says this in Isaiah 5417 and you have to believe it. 11 Bible Verses to use as a weapon against the enemy 1. Know what God’s word says, so that when the enemy of your soul tells you, “You are weak!” You can fight back with the truth that says, “No! According to Isaiah 40:31, in Him, I am strong.” 2. When the enemy suggests, “You are a failure!” Refute him with the truth that says, “No! According to Romans 8:37, I am more than a conqueror!” 3. When the enemy tells you that, “You are a victim!” You can fight back with the truth that says, “No! According to 1 Corinthians 15:57, in Christ, I am victorious.” 7. Next time the enemy tells you that, “You are all alone!” You can refute his lies with the truth that says, “No! According to Joshua 1:5, I am never alone.” 8. When the enemy tries to convince you that, “You are ugly!” You can fight back with the truth that says, “No! According to Psalm 45:11, God says I am beautiful.” 9. When the enemy tells you that, “You are rejected.” You refute him with the truth that says, “No! According to 1 John 3:1, God loves me so much He adopted me as His child.” 10. When the enemy tries to discourage you by telling you that “You will never be healed!” You can fight back with the truth that says, “No! According to Isaiah 53:5, by His stripes I am healed.” 11. When the enemy tries to convince you that “You are worthless and unworthy!” You can fight back with the truth that says, “No! According to John 3:16, Jesus declared me worthy!” HOW TO BEHAVE WITH ENEMIES Romans 12:20 “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Exodus 23:4 “If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey wandering away, you shall surely return it to him. Job 31:29 “Have I rejoiced at the extinction of my enemy, Or exulted when evil befell him? Proverbs 24:17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; Proverbs 25:21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST Philippians 4:13 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. MIRACLE PHONE CONNECTION LOVE TRUTH Standing for truth can be hard -where God's Word speaks clearly, we have a duty to obey, defend, and proclaim the truth He has given us, and we should do that with an authority that reflects our conviction that God has spoken with clarity and finality. This is particularly curcial in contexts where cardinal doctrines of biblical Christianity are under attack. Incidentally, the core truths of Scripture are always under attack. Scripture itself clearly teaches that the main battleground where Satan wages his cosmic struggle against God is ideological. In other words, the spiritual warfare every Christian is engaged in is first of all a conflict between truth and error, not merely a competition between good and wicked deeds. The chief aim of Satan's strategy is to confuse, deny, and corrupt the truth with as much fallacy as possible, and that means the battle for truth is very serious. Being able to distinguish between sound doctrine and error should be one of the highest priorities for every Christian—as should defending the truth against false teaching. Take such a stand today, however, and you will be scolded by a cacophony of voices telling you that you are out of line and you need to be quiet. The "war" metaphor simply doesn't work in a postmodern culture, they insist. Postmodern epistemologies start and end with the presupposition that any question of what's true or false is merely academic. Our differences are ultimately trivial. Only the tone of our discussion is not trivial. Every hint of militancy is considered inappropriate in these sophisticated times. TOUGH TIMES - WHAT TO DO? For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 2 Timothy 1:7 For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
