Any company’s greatest asset is the employees. They represent the company as ambassadors, determine the public’s perception of the business, are handlers of intangible assets, and are the biggest contributors to an organization’s worth. As such, recruiters and hiring managers need to bring people into the fold, develop a strong recruitment strategy and raise the bar during the process. Candidates should be carefully selected to ensure that additions to the team are people of high quality who are skilled, self-aware, have a growth mindset, and share the organizational culture, among others.

In this episode of The Gradience Podcast, Nigel is joined by Brent Goldman, former VP & Head of Engineering at Sisu.

They cover:

👉 Brent’s hiring process
👉 Developing a growth mindset
👉 Behavioral patterns to look out for in the hiring process
👉 Raising the bar during the recruitment process
👉 The complex systems of recruitment
👉 Closing candidates
👉 The pros and cons of hiring in a remote world
👉 Assessing candidates’ culture fit
👉 How to look out for leadership skills in candidates
👉 Assessing founders to invest in
👉 Word of advice for young founders and engineering leaders

If you’re seeking clarity on the complexities of recruitment, aren’t sure what soft skills to look out for during selection, want to raise the bar for your company’s recruitment process, or want to learn the art of candidate closing, tune into this episode of The Gradience Podcast, a Podcast by Build Talent
