In this week's episode of The Green Line Radio Show, Art Del Cueto shares his experience participating in a Trunk or Treat Event with the Shriners, where over 1000 children took part in the festivities. He also mentions Googy the Shriner Clown, who entertained the kids by making balloon animals for this fun event. This leads Art to take a stroll down memory lane, reminiscing about the classic scary movies of the 70s and 80s. He shares a couple of his favorites however, what truly scare him is the "Squad," It isn't a movie it is the real life group of legislators protesting against Israel in the ongoing conflict with Hamas.
Art informs us about the recent border situation, where one group of 420 individuals attempted to cross the southern border at Three Points, followed by another group of over 1000 later in the day. He discusses Bill Melugin from Fox News and his curiosity about the asylum seekers' processing and release procedures, as well as the handwritten notes provided to agents by those attempting to enter.
Local elections trouble Art, as he highlights the move in Tucson to conduct voting via mail-in ballots, expressing his concerns about potential voter suppression and its impact on the city's future. He reflects on a trip to San Francisco and hopes that similar challenges won't befall Tucson. Art also touches on the 1993 Flores Ruling and the Jane Doe Law, discussing how they affect asylum seekers and the potential for manipulation of the system.
