In Episode 4 of the Growth Over Grades Podcast, we hosted a conversation with Tara Desiderio, who has served her elementary school community as Principal for the past 14 years. Before this, she was also a kindergarten teacher and leader.
Tara is dedicated to helping educators & students embrace a love of learning & happiness. She recently received the Paul Rinaldi Principal Award based on her leadership and commitment to student achievement and work to break barriers for students and their families in school systems.
In this conversation, we talk about how Tara adapted her district's Portrait of a Graduate goals and program into a Portrait of a Learner at the elementary level. She and her staff meet together regularly to ensure all 500+ students in their school grow with a personalized education plan.
