This week, on our podcast Rachelle and Lennart discuss personal development - what it means, it's importance, and issues with how it's perceived.

What does personal development mean to us? It's about improving yourself holistically to realize the potential that you have. It starts with asking yourself some real questions - Who do you want to be? What is my potential? Then you measure where you currently stand in the areas of mindset, mental power, health, soft & hard skills, and character traits. With that clarity, you can better identify what to improve on to become a better version of yourself. How you improve is about learning just enough to put it in action, then reflecting back on it.

The reoccurring issue we see with personal education goes back to our manifesto on education. Our perception of education being boring and impractical creates a negative connotation with learning and applying feedback in general. Self-development is rarely in our own hands, rather it's with our parents, our teachers, and our friends instead. But we know ourselves better than anybody else, and we should be creating our own curriculums for life.

In this episode, we dig deeper into the value of self-development and why we need it to achieve true fulfillment. Furthermore, we discuss:

- Forms of self-development and what action we can take to initiate it in our daily lives.

- What it means when we feel friction in our lives and how we can tackle it.

- What it means to create the necessity for change.

We should all place emphasis on launching "Project Me" where we focus on ourselves, the most important project of all. It's invaluable that we initiate change, to make a difference in a part of our lives that we need. β€œIf You Always Do What You've Always Done, You Always Get What You've Always Gotten.” - Henry Ford
