We have a lot to discuss w/ the Red Sox & how they have out-performed their projections this season. There is less than 30 days till the Trade Deadline & as I stated last week, the Red Sox believe they are gonna be sellers rather than buyers. Is that the right direction? There is an opportunity for this team to make the playoffs & with the Padres in town, we got to see some old friends at Fenway for the 1st time. Causeway street is full of ups & downs. The Celtics just won Banner 18 & basically re-signed the whole team but now have to deal w/ the bombshell that Wyc Grousbeck is selling his portion of the team! Who is going to be next? Will it be co-owner Steve Pagliuca take over, will it be John Henry, or will it be that dreaded Saudi money? How does this sale affect the Celtics team as well as their future at the TD Garden? Meanwhile the Bruins are the 1st Boston team to actually take action in Free Agency this year with a couple of splashes in Elias Lindholm & Nikita Zadorov! What does the depth chart & lineup look like today? They also made their first 1st round draft pick since 2021 & it looks like a boom or bust but it could be a fun prospect just based on his size alone. The Patriots are still acting like their old selves with this re-signing of Jahlani Tavai & I think, their refusal to be like Bill has not only gotten out of hand but also surprisingly did exactly what Bill would do.
