Dr Walter Kimbrough is the president of Dillard University. Prior to becoming president of Dillard, Dr Kimbrough was the president of Philander Smith College. He spoke about finding your passion and who he was as a child. Then he spoke about being the son of a preacher and what impact faith had on his success. He touched on titles and how he doesn't get caught up in them. His instagram name is the Hip Hop Prez. He spoke on how he got the name and how it has affected his career. He spoke on how you become a president and how he was the 4th president at Philander Smith College. He spoke in depth about the challenges of universities and how Harvard and Emory have some of the same issues as Howard University does. Dr Kimbrough had interesting insights on mentors. He also spoke on the value of fraternities and some of the challenges they face. He also shared insights on how university presidents can have success.
