Former Professional Kickboxer, Dewey Cooper, joins Quinton Rampage Jackson and Harrison Rogers as they discuss fighting and having a championship mentality.
These former champions, speak about the younger generation and what advice they'd provide them with as they get ready to come up the ranks of fighting.
Fighting is a sport which requires training as well as branding. How important is it for these fighters to increase their social presence and branding? How do they balance being the best fighter as well as putting their name out there consistently?
How do you protect the athlete when it comes to fighting? This is why the United Fight League is going to change the game. With equity in the company, as well as fighter insurance.
The UFL will allow these fighters to bank off of their success and branding whereas other fight promotions 'own' the fighter's branding and such!
Harrison will help explain how he's built this company to be able to help these fighters understand the financial aspects to the sport which they will be competing.
Will you see something in the UFL with "grudge matches" with the old school, hall of famers that want some fights again? Stay tuned!
Dewey talks about one of his fights, where he fought with a torn acl, so that he could get some money for his knee surgery because he was worried about the 60K bill that was going to happen. The psychological impact of being an insured fighter is absolutely wild!
Dewey Cooper also talks about Team Combat League which is a boxing league, with a similar structure of the UFL.
The conversation about the business side of the UFL continues as they break down the different phases of the league and what goes into it all in regards to building up the product so phase two will make sense. There will be franchise owners of different teams when that time comes.
Would you like to see cross-promotion fighting between various MMA Promotions? Bellator? UFC? One Fighting Championships? UFL? Cage Warriors? Would a universal championship be something fans would like to see? Tune in for the full discussion.
