Get ready for another insightful and hilarious episode with MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and his personal trainer Shaun “Fiveo” Rez!
Shaun Rez gets this weeks episode started by sharing his outlook on proper nutrition. He emphasizes the importance of getting your protein from different sources and claims that steak is the most complete protein source nutrition wise. He goes on to talk about why he stays away from fruit to avoid sugar and how he prefers to use supplements. The guys go back and forth on this topic before Shaun puts Rampage in the hot seat for drinking after he said he was quitting in our last episode.
The conversation transitions to Shaun Rez explaining why we gain weight when we drink alcohol. He shocks Harrison and Rampage when he says he drinks a shot of whiskey every morning with his coffee while fasting. Rampage brings up the culture around drinking in Vietnam, claiming that the locals will be offended if you refuse to drink with them. Shaun changes gears and begins talking about the benefits of cold plunging and the risks of doing it too often.
Harrison then talks about going to the desert with Shaun and Rampage for a fun day of shooting guns. The guys talk about how many guns they have and whether they’d be interested in adding colorful custom guns to their collections.
Shaun begins talking about misinformation in the fitness world and how easy it is to be led astray when you aren’t willing to do the research yourself. The episode wraps up with Shaun and Rampage talking about what makes a podcast entertaining!
