This week we will be starting our new series of studies from the book of 'Revelation'. It's not what you think!! The letter that John wrote to his seven parishes is one of the most down to earth, practical messages found in the bible. John's friends were distracted from the invisible realities that we need to put our faith in (what God is up to), by the visible things that were taking up all the focus (wars, loud mouthed leaders, and sickness). He used the brilliant writing form of apocalyptic poetry, to grab their attention and bring it back to the greater reality of God at work - right here, right now.
