Step One of Recovery is where recovery starts at the beginning. It is important to not skip over this important step, as each step builds one upon the other. Step One is very much like the passage in Romans that says "I want to do what is right, but I can’t.” In your own strength you are indeed "powerless" but God is the true "higher power" and he has the power to help you along your recovery journey of the Twelve Steps of Recovery. Start at the beginning with Step One of Recovery and be amazed at what God can do in your life.
