Also known as Lammas, this festival marks the first of three harvest festivals, and is about halfway between Midsummer and Mabon. During this time, we celebrate abundance, fertility, and solar energy while visiting holy wells, hiking, baking bread, visiting fairs, honoring the dead, and enjoying athletic contests.
Join us as we deep dive into the origins of Lughnasadh: The Tailteann Games. We discuss how the games began and what happens during them. We also give you a bunch of ideas to celebrate Lughnasadh season and discuss our own experiences and traditions. There’s also a simple ritual, and correspondences for Lughnasadh.
