In today's video, we have a special guest connected to Northland Injury Law for Nurse's Week 2024. She happens to be the daughter-in-law of our colleague, Shelly Roth! Nurses Week runs from May 6th to May 12th so we had Heather Roth join us! She is a nurse with over seven years of experience and currently works at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO!

Heather shares her journey into nursing, driven by a deep compassion for caring for others. Starting as a registered nurse in critical care, Heather's path led her to managerial roles, overseeing cardiac units and eventually transitioning to a clinic setting. She reflects on the challenges and rewards of her career, from the adrenaline rush of critical care to finding balance in the clinic environment. Discussing the evolving landscape of nursing, Heather sheds light on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. She recounts the emotional toll of caring for critically ill patients during the height of the pandemic, grappling with staffing shortages and overwhelming patient loads.

Transitioning to the physical and emotional demands of nursing, Heather shares poignant experiences from her time in critical care. From lifting patients and enduring long hours on her feet to navigating the emotional rollercoaster of patient care, Heather highlights the challenges faced by nurses in high-pressure environments. She shares personal anecdotes, illustrating the profound impact of nursing on both patients and caregivers.

We want to give a special shoutout to everyone in the Nursing profession past, present, and future! We thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
