George Couros opens this episode with a reflection on his own learning and how he is working to learn how to play the piano along with his daughter, Kallea. This intro offers a reminder that we can learn anything we want to learn! We can also share why we are learning these things - there is something very powerful when we can show our willingness to learn ourselves. When we ask our students, our kids, whoever, to learn new things, do they see that we have a willingness to learn new things as well? Alison Celmer is a great example of this learning process. Celmer, a student in Couros and Novak’s UDL UPenn course, shares how she is learning by example in this episode of The Innovator’s Mindset Podcast. Quotes: “It is not about the grade…it is about the process.” - Alison Celmer “The most inspiring part of the course was the feedback…I was more excited to get the feedback than the grade.” - Alison Celmer Links: Alison Celmer's Blog - https://acelmer.edublogs.org/ Alison Celmer LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/alison-celmer-591bb734/ Obvious to You, Amazing to Others - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xcmI5SSQLmE& __________________________________________ Please share your thoughts with us on Twitter or Instagram at #InnovatorsMindset.
