This podcast is based on one of the articles from George's newsletter on gratitude that you can find here: https://us12.campaign-archive.com/?u=9381017234135a9c6d5f7419a&id=72bed79317 You can subscribe to the newsletter here: https://georgecouros.us12.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=9381017234135a9c6d5f7419a&id=59b1199188 In this solo podcast, George shares some of the things that he has learned to be grateful for today, that he struggled with in the past. Gratitude is beneficial to learning as shared by this quote from Lainie Rowell: "Gratitude isn't just about feeling good – it's a game-changer in how we learn. When we're grateful, our brains release dopamine and serotonin, those feel-good neurotransmitters that not only boost our mood but also help us focus and stay motivated. In fact, practicing gratitude regularly isn't just a one-time mood boost; it actually rewires our brains. This process, known as neuroplasticity, means our brains can adapt and create new connections throughout our lives. So, when we practice gratitude, we're literally training our brains to be more resilient and positive. This isn't just about feeling happier; it's about transforming the way we tackle learning challenges and turning them into opportunities to grow. In short, gratitude does more than just make us feel good in the moment. It shapes our brain in ways that enhance how we learn, making us more receptive, motivated, and resilient. Learning with gratitude isn't just about acquiring knowledge; it's about building a mindset and disposition that help us learn better and enjoy the journey."
