- We went to see Neil Simon’s play “Rumors” at Center Stage in Kentville
- We toured Windsor on the day after St. Paddy’s day to Cocoa Pesto Bistro, Spitfire, and Schoolhouse Brewery
- 05:30 – Kelly’s Corner
- Cinch Tents! Pop-up tents with power, climate control, and no mess!
- Kelly does not like the Digital Trends website
- Cinch Tents even connect together to make tent cities and have solar panels
- Hiking and camping with solar panels is becoming very common. Solar panels charge your stuff while you’re walking
- 20:30 – Jon talks about backups, backups, and backups!
- SpiderOak did not fare well against Jon’s criteria
- It has no 2FA (two-factor authentication). In 2018. Srsly.
- Each device in the account can see and download all the files from every other device in the account. Booooooo for data segregation!
- iDrive is the winner. It backs up all Jon’s devices (Windows, Mac, iPhone, Linux)
- iDrive has proper encryption and device separation
- The 2FA is provided by a separate encryption/decryption password from the login password
- You also get a sync folder to sync data across all your devices without it counting against your backup quota
