The Word of God declares that we have been "made perfect" through the work of Christ on the cross (Heb 10:14). Understanding this reality releases a flood of freedom in our lives and helps us express our true design as children of God. Since we have assumed that perfection is something we have to strive for or somehow attain, we have experienced the roadblock of self-effort and have given up this pursuit by settling for an imperfect identity (and just waiting for heaven in order to be free and perfect). Consequently, we have not embraced the limitless possibilities of freedom and holiness in the here and now. Be free from striving and religion, and embrace the free gift of your perfection—which is simply being united with the Perfect One.
