Dave Broom has been immersed in the spirits industry for almost 30 years and was described by the Irish Times as "an agreeable man with a pepper-and-salt beard”. Dave is author The World Atlas of Whisky, and one of my favourite books : The Gin Manual. His most recent book is A Sense of Place, a journey around Scotland’ s whisky. In 2019 he wrote and produced The Amber Light, a documentary that shows Dave’s quest to gain a deeper understanding of whisky. It’s a wonderful film that I highly recommend.
