Alysha Hanin traveled from New Zealand to Miami, Florida on December 10th, 2001, intending to address some matters before returning home to begin a new life with her 3-year-old son.
However, her anticipated return never occurred. The last sighting of Alysha was as she left a luxurious hotel in South Miami Beach in the early hours of January 6th, 2002.
The circumstances surrounding her disappearance raise numerous questions: Was her occupation as an escort a factor? Did she become a victim of random violence? Did she choose to vanish voluntarily from her life? Alternatively, could her recent breakup with her allegedly abusive boyfriend, have played a role?
Alysha's son, now a year older than his mother was at the time of her disappearance, seeks closure and resolution to the mystery surrounding his mother's fate.
On this week's episode we're joined by Sofia Wardell, from The Travel Brats Podcast, to give us the lowdown on everything Miami!
Listen as we dive into Miami, the case of Alysha Hanin, and how to stay alive on vacation.
