In I Heard This Happened: Nicky picked some psychedelic rock from the UK Mind Bahn by Jouis. Nicky’s Comments: I’m not sure if I should chill out or overthink myself into oblivion listening to these guys. Reminds me of The Stepkids if they were a little more prog and a little bit less funky. The album maintains a sweet shimmery optimism from start to finish. This record is Bluesy AF. The duo is basically a drummer and guitar player with vocals. Vocalist Eva Walker reminds me of Alabama Shakes Brittany Howard. You really don’t miss other instruments on the tracks that are just them. Other tracks have more percussion/ mouth harp. It’s a real blues rock record musically.
