Show Notes

If you’ve felt stuck at a plateau in your business’ growth and your growth as an independent professional it may be because you’re trying to follow a model designed by others when what you really need to do is understand who you are in order to create a model that will work best for you.

Self awareness is one of the top criteria for creating success – understanding who you are, what you’re great at, and how you operate contribute to your ability to creating a business that meets your definition of success. Without it, it’s easy to blindly try to follow the exact steps others have taken because they appear to be just like you, when in fact they’re not.

But how do you develop self-awareness? One way is to use one or more assessments and really reflect on the results you get and what they mean for you.

In this episode, business coach Lisa Robbin Young introduces us to the Creative Freedom Quiz. Lisa helps creative professionals get paid well to do what they love without selling their soul. She’s worked with best selling author / experts, top coaches, and even product-based startups to create and strengthen their unique path to profits.

So sit back and give as listen as Lisa – who is also my accountability partner by the way -- explains….

Key Ideas Why self-awareness is important for enterpreneurs Problems entrepreneurs run into trying to (blindly) follow a guru or methodology The nature of creativity and how to identify the type of creative entrepreneur you are Why acknowledging that you’re creative is important to creating a thriving, successful business

And be sure to stick around to the end where I’ll share your reflection exercise and action step for today.
