In this episode we’re going to discuss Mass Formation, a theory proposed by Dr. Mattias Desmet is characterized by a uniformity of thinking that can take over the boardroom, a group, a society, a nation, even the world. He defines Mass Formation as a psychosis where a group or society blindly adheres to an ideology and their attention focuses on one small point or issue to the exclusion of everything else. We discuss real-world examples of the theory and also try to see if global climate theory conforms to the predictions of Mass Formation. We also go into a bit of history showing what happens when a group is in Mass Formation and how to tell if you are in its grip. The big question to ask yourself is this. Is my perception of a topic mine or am I following a pre-described ideology? Is my reasoning my own?
