Tommy Riles and Art Eddy talk about when they were kids and their parents made them or encouraged them to try something new even though they didn't want to, but in the end are glad that they did it. Then they bring on soccer star, Alexi Lalas.
Alexi Lalas has a passion for soccer. You saw it in playing days and now as an analyst for FOX Sports for the game he loves so much. Lalas played mostly as a defender and became one of the most famous soccer players in the United States after he played in the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He became the first modern-era American soccer player to play in the Italian Series. Lalas served as the president and general manager of the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer until August of 2008. He was elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2006.
Alexi talks about his time in soccer, fatherhood, and the state of soccer today.
