Inspired by her own mother’s story, Flosie Sazon created an audio documentary called ”The Life of Immigrants” telling the tales of Overseas Filipino Workers, or OFWs, who travelled to Ireland to work and live and eventually bring their families with them in hopes of a brighter future. This audio documentary will also provide a meaningful insight into the lives of first-generation Filipinos who were raised in Ireland, as they discuss their upbringing and perspectives on being the first in their family to experience both Irish culture and the struggle to maintain their language and customs. This audio documentary gives us an expansive window into the daily lives of immigrants in Ireland and how it changed them as their family’s future.
