David Wenkel is the President and Co-founder 22-2-NONE a non-profit organization lead by Veterans to help raise awareness and provide support in hopes to combat veteran suicide. Dave is a Veteran of the Marines Corps where he was a Sergeant from 2002-2006 and completed a Tour in Iraq from 05-06. In 2012 the Department of Veterans Affairs came out with a statistic that explained how everyday 22 veterans commit suicide. What set Daves soul on fire was hearing that out of the 121 daily suicides that occur in the United States 22 of them are Veterans. This translates to roughly 20% of the daily suicides are committed by the less than 5% of Americans that have served their country.
