Hey friend,
Have you ever felt like in order to fit into a place where you're at you have to change who you are? Like you almost have to become a different person or put on a mask? For a lot of my life I have felt that I have to be like a chamaeleon and change who am in order to be accepted in the places where I find myself. Here's the problem with that -- we're not giving the people that weren't encountering a chance to know who we are or meet us and experience us as our true selves. And then when we become friends with these people we don't feel known because we have an allowed them to know us. I want to encourage you today to lean into who you are! Think about what makes you YOU. Be Authentic to that. Don't be scared of being judged or not liked. The people that you really want to be friends with are gonna embrace who you are. Become self aware. See what makes your heartbeat, what makes you passionate, what makes you frustrated, what is hard for you. Maybe when you have some insecurity and some pain. Explore those things. When we become friends with ourselves we will enter spaces in a way that allow for other people to become friends but themselves too. Then we can all be better friends together.
I can't wait to meet you here tomorrow.
