With whisky sales booming around the world, this week we’re asking whether you should buy whisky as an investment. In the spring of 2019, more than 13,000 bottles of single malt were sold at auctions in the UK, an increase of 4,000 on the year before, and prices have typically grown by between 8-12% a year since 2015. We spoke to Mike Lord, independent whisky consultant and owner of The Whisky Shop in Dufftown, in the heart of malt whisky country.
