Three days before Christmas, a female victim files a police report that she was robbed 15 days before by two masked men. Mannina is now working in the robbery investigations department and gets the case two days before the holiday and makes several attempts to get in touch with the victim. Two days before New Year’s Eve, she finally returns Mannina’s phone call and skeptically agrees to tell her what happened. Like the timeline, the story seems a little contrived, but it all begins to make sense as the evidence leads Mannina to a nonsensical motive.
