On today's episode, we interviewed Carlisa Johnson, multimedia journalist based in Atlanta. Her work focuses on race and gender politics, specifically highlighting experiences within the African Diaspora. We started things off by talking about Carlisa's career and her experience as a journalist, we also explored the connection between journalism and technology, and finally talked about activism, and her protagonism in the Black Lives Matter movement.

On every episode, we ask our guests what book is currently on their night stand, and what book would they recommend for us to know more about what they do. Check out the official book recommendations list on our Goodreads bookshelf: http://bit.ly/the-manuscript-goodreads
